Staying Cool with Spray Pads, Cooling Stations and Fun Swims

It is a scorcher of a summer that many of us dream about during our cold, long winters. For those without a backyard pool or air conditioning, the City of Brampton offers many options for staying cool, including eight spray pads and two wading pools.

Spray pads and wading pools are free and fun. The are usually open 10:00am to 8:00pm until Labour Day, weather permitting. For more information on locations, visit the City’s Website.

The city also offers Fun Swim at most of our community pools. Throughout July and August, Tim Hortons is hosting free fun swim times at five local pools: Chingacousy Wellness Centre, Century Gardens, Earnscliff, Cassie Campbell and South Fletchers. The dates and times for each location varies, so be sure to verify on the Fun Swim Website before heading out.

During extreme heat alert days, the City of Brampon’s Atrium at City Hall is open as a cooling station from 12 pm until 10 pm. The following list of designated cooling stations are also open until 9pm:
