Moving From Sleepy Suburb to Thriving Metropolis

Brampton is the 9th largest city in Canada by population with a young, educated workforce. Unfortunately, too many of them are leaving the city during the day to work and returning home to sleep (hence the term “bedroom community”). Our activity rate, which is the number of jobs as percentage of our population is a dismal 33%, compared to Mississauga’s activity rate of 65%. There clearly is a lot of work to do to make Brampton a thriving metropolis.

In this episode of Brampton Focus we speak with Todd Letts, CEO of the Brampton Board of Trade and get his thoughts on Trade, Transit, Talent and how Brampton can maximize growth and business opportunities through economic gardening.
