Some have called Mayor Linda Jeffery a “Lame Duck Mayor”, and have referred to Brampton Council as “dysfunctional”.

On this episode of Brampton Focus, we sit down with two members of Brampton’s Council, Martin Medeiros, Regional Councillor for Wards 3 & 4, and Pat Fortini, City Councillor for Wards 7 & 8.  We speak to them regarding the  current council elected in late 2014 which promised change, but due to the dysfunction, little has been seen.  Both councillors respond to the allegations of dysfunction and offer us a view into their decision making processes.

The councillors also share reports on what the Blue Ribbon Panel is working on while the city is waiting on the province to call for University Proposals, and the thoughts on potentially having the university located in Bramalea.

Why did Councillor Fortini support the $1.5M bailout of the Brampton Beast, and why did Councillor Medeiros oppose the motion?  Did the two councillors support the HMLRT Route? And what are their thoughts on Mississauga wanting to abandon Brampton as it relates to the Region of Peel?

Find out all these answers by watching this episode of Brampton Focus.
